We're creating a different kind of pub.

There's a gap for an activity-driven pub in town centers nationwide.

Our goal is to shake up the industry and capitalise on the trend of town centers becoming social hubs, starting in Northampton, the UK's leader in the shift from retail to dining.

Our Vision: The Three Fundamental Elements

01

To open venues that set a new bar for creating extraordinary social experiences with tempting British tapas, creative cocktails, craft beer, social gaming, unique events and top-notch service.

02

To lead by example with Team Player welfare and to create fair, exciting and positive work/life balance roles within the hospitality sector.

03

To care for our local and our global environments, by supporting local farmers and growers, reinvigorating Town Centres, and leading the way towards becoming a ‘Net Zero’ venue.

The Problem: 7000 pubs have been forced to close over the last 10 years!

Town centres are becoming social spaces, and customers are seeking more than just a place to eat and drink. Without innovation, pubs will continue to fade away.

#1 Customers are bored and want something new

Brothers Pub Co creates extraordinary social experiences with shareable British tapas, creative cocktails, social gaming, intelligent service & unique entertainment.

#2 Standards have dropped over the years

A selection of independents are putting the work in, but over recent years, food, service and atmosphere have suffered turning off new customers and repeat ones.

#3 Lack of opportunities for smaller towns

Cities around the country have had access to some of the best ‘Activity Bars’ since 2010, & the smaller towns don’t see enough of them.

#4 Lack of Innovation or Creativity

From sustainability efforts and team welfare to creative events and customer experience. There’s not enough innovation or creativity within the sector. Venues that don't adapt will close.

'There is an opportunity here for turning town centres into social community hubs, where people can get together' - Josh, BBC News Feature

Market Research Highlights

We filmed and edited some of our market research respondents into a 4-minute video discussing our concept and their general thoughts on dining, drinking and Northampton town.

We are at the beginning of a new era in which town centres will be known for providing a variety of activities beyond just shopping and retail, such as pubs, restaurants, bars and other social experiences.

We had over 295 positive responses from the people of Northampton. They want us and they can't wait.

The Solution: A social, creative and community focussed, social pub venue that raises the bar and creates extraordinary social experiences'

We are on a mission to create a different kind of pub.

A 'Social Pub Venue' that celebrates the town, creates incredible social experiences and raises the bar with every visit.

Somewhere that is ethical, creative & community-focused.

This is an opportunity to create something special and scalable.

We’re not here to run a pub, we're here to be extraordinary in every way we can be.

Our Core

01 - The Food

Our core food item is British-inspired tapas. It's clean, creative and refined. It is locally sourced where possible and every dish touches on a British element. 30% of the tapas menu is vegan to cater to a growing market and to offer cleaner options.

Beef, chicken and meatless Burgers are also offered, as well as 2 steak options. We developed a selection of 'Feasts' which are for 4-6 people, toastie and brunch options to cater to groups and to daytime trade, which at this site will be substantial.

02 - The Drink

We designed a selection of 22 cocktails, that touch on classics, with extraordinary elements, whether that be from the products used and glassware to dry ice and garnishes. The cocktails cater perfectly for groups, dates and evening diners. Low/No options of our cocktails will be available, rather than offering fruit juice mocktails and also catering to a 'healthier' customer.

8 craft beer/lagers lines will be available to rotate where necessary and the celebration of local independent spirits/wines will be prevalent throughout the venue. Craft beers and wines cater more specifically to the day/early evening diners, whilst spirits will be celebrated most likely later on in the evening.

03 - The Service

Benevolent, encouraging, interested and helpful team members, not trained to upsell from a script, but trained to enhance experiences with new products and authentic recommendations.

The focus on training, and providing extraordinary service is a key element of what will set us apart from the rest. Genuine, authentic service that will be supported with monthly training sessions.

04 - The Games

Gaming venues around the country are exciting, different and massively popular (Flight Club, Electric Shuffle, Roxy Ball Room, Fair Game), but they are too niched down to work in smaller towns.

Our gaming elements will include shuffleboard, Northamptonshire Skittles, Beer Pong, Toad in the hole, cornholing and other tabletop games. By generalising the gaming elements, and giving another nod to unusual pub games from the past, it's possible to give customers a reason to visit other than just to eat or drink.

05 - The Atmosphere

A vibrant and spontaneous atmosphere that aims to create comfortable daytimes, lively evenings and sociable encounters.

06 - The Community

Our focus is on creating a large, local and friendly community Social Pub Venue, that people want to return to, not just because of the food and drink, but because they support the concept and what it stands for.

Our Core

The Site

We've got the keys to a 5,000 sqft site in the heart of Northampton, on the Market Square, with a 9-month rent-free period that started in December.

It can hold 100 seated covers with around an extra 25-30 standing downstairs, totalling 130 at capacity.

What we've achieved so far...

Full Transparency

We had an investor lined up for over a year.

We were led to believe that the funds would arrive before the building works was to start and because planning permission was taking so long, we weren't in an initial rush.

As time got tighter, we had to make the decision that we were going to start looking for a new investor that could help us make this a reality and join us in creating our first, of hopefully many, 'Social Pub Venue' concepts.

The Ask...

We're looking for either an individual or a group of Angel Investors that want to join us in launching this concept.

We're proud of how far we've come. We've locked in our site, shown we have skin in the game and have built an audience that is very excited for us to open.

We are looking for somebody that wants to ride this wave with us, someone who believes in the concept and wants to stick around for the long haul to becomes one of the nations leading pub brands.

Times are looking tough within the sector, but we're confident that with our extraordinary approach, passion to grow and be better and the fact that we've been grafting for so long, now is as good a time as any, if not better to be starting a new concept.

P&L Forecast

While the cost of living crisis is likely to make the sector competitive in 2023, we believe that the future beyond 2024 holds great potential.

As three brothers who operate different areas of the business, we have the advantage of being able to run as a lean team during difficult times. This flexibility allows us to weather any storms and come out stronger on the other side.
